Rental Assistance Program (RAP)

When escalating rent
makes staying put
impossible

Since launching its Rental Assistance Program (RAP) in 2021, Les Maisons Kehilla has provided rent subsidies to a growing number of individuals and families—made possible by the generosity of its donors.

For many, rent consumes a disproportionate share of income, leaving little for essentials like food, heating, and clothing. RAP helps ease the burden, allowing people to stay in their homes.

RAP is nothing less than wings, lifting our vulnerable neighbours from the vicious cycle of poverty.

By the numbers

live below the poverty line, and disproportionately spend over half their monthly income on rent
Over $ 0
in RAP allocations have been provided since inception, with an average household subsidy of $400/month

As a recent immigrant and widower with young children, adjusting to life in Canada has been challenging, and I was struggling to pay the rent. Les Maisons Kehilla stepped in with RAP when I needed it most. Now I can focus on my kids and building a new life here.
